Jon Waterhouse, Atlanta Journal Constitution

Prime Picks: Prefer Indian with a kick? Order off the menu, and the chef is happy to ignite a dish to the diners' specifications. Although it is one of the least expensive main courses on the menu, the Chicken Tandoori stands out.................

Sweet Sensations: Cool down all that curry with a taste of something sweet, Gulab jamon, a traditional Indian Dessert (deep fried balls made of dried milk and cheese floating in a syrup and rosewater.

Reagan Walker, Atlanta Journal Constitution

The concept: Fresh ingredients in traditional Indian cuisine served in an understated dining room.

The food: Classic and delicious. Pakoras (fritters) are fried to perfection; tandoori offerings sizzle; especially those with fresh fish; and the curries are tasty, if a little underwhelming. The spice is pretty tame in most of the dishes unless you specify extra-hot. Don't forget the naan bread, soft and warm from the tandoor oven.

The service: Prompt and courteous, though they might want to steer small parties away from bigger groups with children when space allows.
